Your weekly dose of practical astrology for real life Brew #76

The primary problem with a lot of astrology is that it's always looking to the future.
We're always forecasting and trying to figure out what's coming next and I don't love the paranoia that this mode of thinking tends to inspire.
I am very much a proponent and deep believer in the philosophy of Pronoia, which is the belief that the universe is constantly conspiring for my good.
I believe that god wants to help me, that there are angels hiding in every cupboard, and that my ancestors are constantly over my shoulders, absolutely rooting for me.
There are so many forces of good and benevolence that are at work in my life and all I have to do is believe in them.
Naturally, this tends to color my approach to astrology (and any spirituality). I'm always asking myself how can I just acknowledge those forces in my life? How can I acknowledge the Spirits around and within me?
The other problem that I find is that our hyperfocus on future events creates this kind of untethered feeling within us.
Translation: it's a recipe for anxiety.
We go from future forecasting straight into the territory of catastrophizing or worrying. Worry is simply borrowing tomorrow's problems. It is a waste of imagination. It is not something you can control, so why are we spending energy on it?
The remedy? Using astrology + spirituality to keep your feet on the ground. How we do that is with rhythms.
More specifically, we have to acknowledge where we are. How we get context for where we are is by looking over our shoulders to create meaning and context for where we have been.
👀 What season did we just come? 👀 From what situation did we just emerge...and what did that teach us? 👀 What lessons did it impart to us? 👀 And what superpowers are emerging because of those lessons?
(This is the biggest reason why I have the Rhythm Almanac, btw. It's an organized way to take notes about what you learn in each season so you can track your patterns + learn the heartbeat of your own rhythm. You can learn more here and then by scrolling to the bottom of the page where I give a tutorial on what it is + how to use)
All that to say...the past week has been absolute, straight insanity. These are the moments that offer a great opportunity to look back, figure out what just happened, take inventory, and debrief before charging ahead.
Last week was the Aries New Moon Eclipse and what a doozy it was.
So without futher ado, let's take some inventory...
Practical Astro Tip
Eclipses mark a time of change, plot twists, and closure. They also happen in same sister signs over the course of a 2-3 year period.
(NOTE: sister signs just means "opposite signs" -- you can see opposite signs by looking at the zodiacal wheel or by downloading the Zodiac Glossary for free because I have it in there for you 😘).
Since 2023, we’ve been navigating the Aries–Libra eclipse axis, and this past weekend marked the final eclipse in that storyline. The last page has been turned.
But we can't just flip to a new chapter and pretend we know what's going on—we need to understand what just ended.
So let’s rewind: 📍 The Aries–Libra eclipse cycle started back in October 2023 with a full moon in Aries. Aries is the sign of The Warrior, and over the past 18 months, we’ve been fighting for something—individually and collectively.
And now?
That particular battle is over.
What was worth going to war for last year may not be anymore. The resistance has shifted. The fight has moved underground—into something more internal, more strategic, more subtle.
We're no longer in open battle. We're in second-stage revolution and it’s happening both around + within us.
So what was the battle really about?
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac. It governs identity, drive, and instinct. So this chapter has been about fighting to become ourselves.
Understanding the themes of the houses that Aries and Libra activate in your chart can help you make sense of what you just emerged from—and give you clarity for where you’re headed next.

🔥 What’s Been Your Battlefield? (And Who’s Been On It With You?)
To figure out where this eclipse chapter has been showing up in your life, look at what house Aries is in for you—this is the arena you’ve been fighting in. From Ash's Corner
For me? This eclipse chapter hit.
I’ve been wrestling with identity since 2023—taking big, vulnerable leaps into coaching, spirituality, and creativity… and allowing myself to really do it with my whole ass.
I have Aries in my 5th house of creativity, joy, and self-expression. I have Libra in my 11th house of community, friendship, and collective movements.
So over the past two years, my personal battlefield has centered around reclaiming my voice and figuring out who’s really in it with me. Literal players in my 11th house showed up: teams, communities, confidantes.
Now that the Aries–Libra cycle has closed, I’m feeling the shift. Like something in me just clicked into place. To really lock in (as if I wasn't already feeling it 😩) this past weekend was full of core-shaking breakthroughs that, I swear to you, I've been waiting years to have.
And it’s showing up in what I’m creating next.

The Sun enters Taurus on Saturday, April 19th, sending us into the Season of the Bull. Fear not, if you're needing rest after the cleansing burn and fiery breakthroughs of Aries season —Taurus season promises steady (sustainable!) growth that leaves plenty of time to rest and smell the flowers, too. Prepare for more grounded, stabilizing energy this next season!

Pluto will be going retrograde in Aquarius starting May 4th, 2025 and lasting until October 13th. We’ll have an entire issue of The Stir coming out regarding this however, be prepared to review, revisit, and reflect on themes of power and transformation – both on a personal and collective level over this period of time. Additionally, we have a Full Moon in Scorpio happening Monday, May 12th that will be a review, release, and harvesting of whatever has been growing (or festering) since November.
