YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF PRACTICAL ASTROLOGY FOR REAL LIFE BREW #88

HELLO, WE'RE HAVING AN EMERGENCY BIG SKY EVENT!!
Don't worry, it's good stuff! Like, super powered good stuff.
It's called Hope.
Heard of her?
Yeah, she was missing for a bit. Got a little bloodied up but DAGNABIT, she's back! And she's back with firepowerrrrr!!
Because TODAY is the New Moon in Cancer...which I would go so far as to say that it's one of the best, most magical new moons we get all year.
(And I'm even saying that as someone who has Cancer in the 8th house! The 8th house! The house of spookies!)
But that's not the only reason!
Because we have a special big sky event called a cazimi (which just means that something is VERY close together, which means they are sharing energy and basically close enough to hear our prayers and whisper secrets back and forth for how they'll answer them together).
This prayer-answering energy is happening with the new moon (obvi) PLUS the sun AND Jupiter!
The sun offers us perspective, ideas, and illumination while Jupiter is an amplifier—offering a megaphone to all the magic that the sun + moon have to offer us right now.
It started yesterday and it's culminating TODAY.
So here's how you're gonna use it 👇

|
Jupiter — the planet of luck, expansion and good fortune— entered the sign of Cancer a few weeks ago (June 9th, to be exact) after spending a little over a year in Gemini.
Gemini is a cerebral, intellectual sign (which Jupiter doesn't love to be in and can leave us feeling uncomfy and without hope).
Jupiter, however, loves being in the soft caress of Cancer.
(I mean, who doesn't?)
Cancer is water, water has memory and it is in these natal waters that we remember how infinitely connected we all are; to each other, to the past, and to a future that is more and more within reach— if only we can continue to remember.
So we have our planet of luck + expansion in delicious Cancer. Love that for us.
Plus we have the SUN here, also love that for us.
And now, a delightful little cherry on this cosmic sundae: the new moon, here to help us plant new seeds with intention and an absolute truckload of magic.
So, to ride this wave of serendipity and power, I want you to spend some time doing some really honest journaling about what has been holding you back from the type of security, belonging, and intuition that you crave in your life. This isn't meant to be a heavy thing. It's meant to be allow you to get it off your chest.
Allow the tender arms of Cancer season to listen to you like your closest friend: she's not judging, she's just holding space and listening so you can move forward without carrying that around.
Now...the intentions you set, the new moon spell you cast...is going to come from the journaled clarity. Without anything weighing you down, if you didn't have to figure out the how...what type of connection, support, security, love, or self-trust do you want to call in for yourself?
THEN WRITE IT DOWN!
Bonus points if you put a deadline on it. 😘 (For example: I am surrounded by people that love + support my work by the end of July 2025.)

Your House-by-House Breakdown
This isn’t just any ol’ New Moon—it’s got Jupiter in its corner, whispering, “Dream bigger, babe.”
So wherever this lunation lands in your chart is primed for renewal, restoration, and really-good-things energy. Think of this house like the cosmic room you’re currently cleaning, blessing, and renovating. What old beliefs about safety, self-trust, and belonging have outlived their usefulness here?
Here’s your sign-by-sign breakdown (read for your rising sign for most accuracy):
♈ Aries Rising (Cancer in the 4th House):
It’s giving homecoming. Whether this is about where you live or how you feel inside yourself, this New Moon is asking: what does safety actually mean to you now? Plant seeds for a more emotionally aligned foundation.
♉ Taurus Rising (Cancer in the 3rd House):
You’re rewriting the group chat. It’s time to clear the cobwebs from your mind, rework how you speak to yourself, and reconnect with your local magic. Call in communication that feels safe, honest, and supportive.
♊ Gemini Rising (Cancer in the 2nd House):
This is about value, baby. Yours. What stories about worth and self-sufficiency are ready to be composted? You’re planting seeds for confidence that radiates from the inside out—and maybe some juicy financial alignment too.
♋ Cancer Rising (Cancer in the 1st House):
This one’s personal. Literally. It’s a full identity refresh—your vibe, your beliefs, your sparkle. Set intentions around how you want to be seen, how you actually feel in your body, and what you're ready to embody next.
♌ Leo Rising (Cancer in the 12th House):
Time to go dark…in the best way. This is an energetic reset from the inside out. Tend to your inner world, give rest its rightful place, and write a love letter to your subconscious. Big healing is available if you’re gentle with yourself.
♍ Virgo Rising (Cancer in the 11th House):
It’s friendship glow-up season. Set intentions for community, for soul family, for dreams so big they need a group chat to carry them. Who sees you fully? Who are you calling in to help build the next phase?
♎ Libra Rising (Cancer in the 10th House):
Shine up that public image, baby. This New Moon wants you to check in with what success means to you. Set intentions around impact, career clarity, and a legacy that aligns with your actual values—not someone else’s blueprint.
♏ Scorpio Rising (Cancer in the 9th House):
Big sky thinking. This lunation is expanding your spiritual and philosophical horizons. Where do you feel the tug to trust more, leap farther, or re-enchant your beliefs? A new worldview is calling—answer it.
♐ Sagittarius Rising (Cancer in the 8th House):
Transformation station. Set intentions around the deeper truths: intimacy, trust, shared power. It’s a potent time to let go of emotional debts and reclaim your energy from what no longer holds you in reverence.
♑ Capricorn Rising (Cancer in the 7th House):
Let love in. This New Moon is asking you to tend to your partnerships—romantic, platonic, business or otherwise. What kind of connection are you building? What do you need to feel met in the middle?
♒ Aquarius Rising (Cancer in the 6th House):
Your rituals matter. This is a sacred reset in your routines, your wellness, and how you show up in service to yourself and others. Set intentions for rhythms that restore you—not drain you.
♓ Pisces Rising (Cancer in the 5th House):
Say yes to joy. This is your creative renaissance. It’s a love letter to your inner artist, your inner child, your pleasure-seeking self. What wants to be expressed through you? Let that be your prayer.

Ash's Unshakable Summer
Jupiter moves in 12-year cycles, which means it takes a full dozen years to journey through all twelve zodiac signs and return to where it began.
So here we are again—Jupiter is back in Cancer for the first time since July 2014. It’s been a minute.
Naturally, I’ve been asking myself: What was happening for me then? What chapter just closed? And what’s beginning now?
Because holy shit, the vibes are vibingggggg for me.
In 2014, I was 20 years old. Pregnant. A baby, having a baby.
And while I’ve never regretted bringing my son into the world, that season of life cracked me open. Being a young mom was brutal. Being a young mom without a village? Isolating. Exhausting. Honestly—probably one of the most traumatic things I’ve lived through.
And now, with Jupiter back in Cancer—right where it was when I became a mother—I can feel the gravity of it. I’ve only recently begun to unpack the weight I’ve been carrying for the last 12 years. Slowly, gently, bravely.
But here’s the wild part: in all that unpacking, I’m not just finding pain.
I’m finding a flame. A fire. A ruthless sort of optimism I didn’t know I had.
Is it hope? Is it faith? Is it Jupiter?
Maybe it’s all of the above.
(Funny enough, this was also the start of my church deconstruction era—turns out Jupiter in Cancer hits me right in the soul and the psyche.)
And maybe that’s the lesson I’m taking into this season of life—that it’s not unshakable in the sense that nothing touches me…But unshakable because I know how to carry myself through the waves.
Because even when life stripped me bare…even when I had no map, no model, no manual…I still became the woman I am now.
And that? That’s what makes me unshakable.
So if you need your own moment to pause, take stock, and root into the fire inside you…then this is your tip this week for Ash's Unshakeable Summer. Your invitation isn’t to bypass your past—but to let it reveal just how resilient (and radiant) you’ve become. May the next 12 years begin with clarity, courage, and some seriously unapologetic self-trust. 🫶
