YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF PRACTICAL ASTROLOGY FOR REAL LIFE
BREW #125

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THREE WEEKS TO SEND YOU THIS EMAIL!

Neptune in Aries went retrograde earlier this month, on July 7, where it will continue its backwards spin until December 12th.

I could feel the energy shift, as I often do, and as I started to get my bearings into the shape and feel of how this frequency sits in my body, I began to recognize pretty quickly what this was gonna mean for all of us.

Since retrogrades are periods of reflection, review, and recalibration -- when it comes to Neptune (psychological god of dreams, illusions, spirituality) in Aries (archetype of initiation and identity through bold action) there's something very specific this season is asking of us...

Of course, then ~shenanigans~ happened.

We hit peak summer parenting (iykyk) and THEN...our AC pooped out. 😩

Unfortunately, it wasn't a little fix either.

Despite swapping out the capacitor, new motor, and evicting the mouse family that decided to nest in the unit, we got the diagnosis that it was dead dead.

Like, gotta replace the whole damn thing dead dead.

And, to make the shenanigans extra spicy, this all went down during the heat dome we experienced (so +100Β°F) alongside the Canadian wildfires that were smoking out our skies and air quality (so we couldn't even open the windows! 😩πŸ₯΅πŸ”₯).

ALSO ALSOOOOOO this was all happening during my 8th House season of underworld journeys and luteal astrology. 🫠

Last week, we finally transitioned into Leo season and I can feel the unhinged sparkle it's bringing to the party (and this conversation about Neptune Rx in Aries) so, as uszh, the timing that this is finally landing in your inbox with is impeccable. πŸ‘Œβœ¨

Leo (the archetype of the entertainer, courage through visibility, and owning our passions) is sharing a momentary lunar spotlight with her sister sign, Aquarius for this week's Full Moon. Aquarius is the archetype of collective progression, status quo disruption, and shared vision β€” the PERFECT lunation to lean into what this Neptune Rx in Aries is really feeding us, WHILE celebrating the radiance that Leo Szn brings to the table.

It's alllllll connected!

Neptune Rx in Aries incepting us. Aquarius Full Moon bringing the hard-hitting insight. Leo season dangling the disco ball for the showdown.

Aries is cardinal fire, it's a LEADERSHIP energy. The astrology of the next 7 years is forging the next cohort of cultural icons, philosophers, spiritual baddies, and thought leaders and Neptune in Aries is playing a BIG PART in how and who is being prepared by this energy.

When I look at how this influences us as people, and where this leadership energy shines through, there was one VERY CLEAR STRATEGIC ASSET that Neptune is helping to shape.

The most strategic asset going forward is not your network, your portfolio of elite skills, or the accolades you've amassed thus far.

It's something you probably used to have but feel disconnected from.

It's something simpler yet more profound that we've been quietly losing since before AI even entered the scene.

It's the thing people have in kindergarten but lose before crossing the stage with their diploma. The thing we must guard from pessimistic elders and sneering family.

It's something that might seem frivolous or secondary to all the other Big Sexy Things we're supposed to have in order to qualify as a leader (or even just someone who Has Their Shit Together).

Our most strategic asset and what will mark the next generation of leaders: imagination.

I know, I know.

You can scoff or laugh all you want, but it's something I'm only deepening my conviction in as time passes.

Because, at the end of the day, that's who gets to build the world.

Not necessarily the most well-connected, smartest, or talented among us. Not the kindest or wisest. The people that build reality have imagination.

Actually, we are currently living in a reality deeply inspired by somebody (well, a lot of sombodies, but still, you catch my drift).

It's this knowing, that imagination is our greatest strategic asset, that I keep returning to, especially over the last few weeks. Especially as I find myself wincing at every headline that pops up on my phone, wondering who imagined the world we live in today?

Even more pressing, who gets to build the world we live in tomorrow?

And not tomorrow as in Friday, July 31st, but tomorrow as in 5 years from now, 10 years from now, 25 years from now. Who's dreaming up the world we'll exist in then?

The answer is not something we leave up to chance, it's something we have choose to actively engage with.

And that is exactly what Neptune in Aries is about.

We keep saying our attention is the last thing to be commodified and that's what digital dependency and scrolling addictions are doing to us, but in the larger conversation of AI usage (paired with this), I think it's more insidious.

It's a conquering of our imagination -- our divine spark, our ingenuity and curiosity. The very fuel of creativity itself.

Imagination!

Our ability to ask questions and wonder about the bigger picture.

Without imagination, we accept bleak reality and the gray-washed future being unveiled for us with every news headline in a silent submission that reeks of spiritual death.

IMAGINATION is resistance, it's rebellious joy, it's vicious hope, it's the creative summation of what makes life worth living.

It's IMAGINATION that makes us feel the living truth to the saying that we are not just humans with a soul, but SOULS having a human experience.

It is IMAGINATION that allows us to entertain these deeper philosophies.

Because imagination is the core ingredient to VISION; and on top of being a non-negotiable necessity to architecting a better future than what the techno-fascists have planned for us -- it's is CRITICAL that we maintain fidelity to our imaginations as an avenue for receiving, holding, acting on, and being guided by SPIRIT.

Because is that not what Vision ultimately is? The capacityβ€”no urge!β€”to follow divine guidance like a north star?

That, m'friend, is what both Neptune Rx in Aries AND this Aquarius Full Moon are saying!

This is your personalized breakdown of where this astro energy is hitting β€” and how to work with it, not get worked by it.

β™ˆ Aries Rising
Neptune's parked in your 1st House β€” your identity, your body, your presence. This is imagination at the root, m'friend. You're not just having ideas, you're re-authoring who you get to be. Aquarius Full Moon lights up your 11th House of community and collective vision β€” the imagination you're cultivating in yourself is about to get tested in public, among your people.

♉ Taurus Rising
Neptune's working your 12th House β€” the underworld, the subconscious, the place where spirit talks and you have to actually shut up and listen. This is dream-work, not dream-vacation. The Full Moon hits your 10th House of career and reputation, so whatever vision you receive in the quiet gets a very public unveiling. No pressure. πŸ˜…

β™Š Gemini Rising
Your 11th House is catching Neptune Rx β€” imagination as community currency, as shared myth-making, as the friendships and networks that actually believe in the world you're building. Aquarius Full Moon lands in your 9th House of philosophy and expansion β€” this is a "your vision just got bigger than your zip code" kind of moon.

β™‹ Cancer Rising
Neptune's in your 10th House β€” career, legacy, the mark you leave. Your imagination isn't a side hustle right now, it's literally shaping your reputation whether you consent to that or not. The Full Moon hits your 8th House β€” transformation, intimacy, the stuff you don't say out loud. Vision gets real when it's this close to the bone.

β™Œ Leo Rising
Neptune Rx is in your 9th House β€” philosophy, belief, the big questions. This is imagination as expansion, as "what do I actually believe about the future" territory. Aquarius Full Moon (your opposite sign, no less) lands in your 7th House of partnership β€” vision gets sharpened through the mirror of who you're in relationship with.

♍ Virgo Rising
Your 8th House is holding Neptune β€” shared resources, sex, death, rebirth, the deep stuff you usually organize your way around. Imagination here is not tidy. Full Moon hits your 6th House of work and daily rhythm β€” vision has to get practical, has to show up in your actual Tuesday, or it doesn't count.

β™Ž Libra Rising
Neptune Rx is in your 7th House β€” partnership, the "us" of it all. Your imagination is being cultivated through relationship, through who you let see you dream. Full Moon lands in your 5th House of creativity and self-expression β€” this is a "stop editing yourself for the room" kind of lunation.

♏ Scorpio Rising
Neptune's working your 6th House β€” routine, health, service, the unglamorous daily grind. Imagination gets cultivated in the mundane right now, in how you tend your actual life. Full Moon hits your 4th House of home and roots β€” vision comes home to roost, literally, in your walls and your people.

♐ Sagittarius Rising
Your 5th House is holding Neptune β€” creativity, pleasure, self-expression, the stuff that makes you feel alive. This is imagination at its most delicious. Full Moon lands in your 3rd House of communication β€” vision wants OUT of your head and into your actual words this week.

β™‘ Capricorn Rising
Neptune Rx is in your 4th House β€” home, family, emotional foundation. Imagination gets cultivated at the root system, in the stuff you don't usually let anyone see. Full Moon hits your 2nd House of money and values β€” vision shows up as a real conversation about what you actually value versus what you've been taught to chase.

β™’ Aquarius Rising
Neptune's in your 3rd House β€” mind, voice, the way you communicate. This is imagination as language, as the story you're literally telling yourself and everyone else. And the Full Moon? Home in your 1st House β€” your own damn sign. Vision isn't abstract for you right now, it IS you. Full spotlight, no hiding.

β™“ Pisces Rising
Your 2nd House is catching Neptune Rx (your ruler, no less) β€” money, worth, resources. Imagination here is about what you believe you're worth building toward. Full Moon lands in your 12th House β€” spirit, subconscious, the veil. Vision comes through dreams, through the quiet, through the parts of you that don't need an audience.

From Ash's Corner

We might need to recover the term vision from the girlbosses. They did good work with it, they took it further than it existed before and mainstreamed it to the point where we can even have this conversation β€” and for that, we thank them.

But taking the pink pantsuit off, Vision (ruled by Aquarius, our resident visionary of the zodiac) is ultimately the thing we're accountable to, it's the reason for discipline in the first place. The fuel for our ambition!

Vision is the organizing energy of momentum and possibility!

(Note: your company or business can be the *vehicle for achieving vision...but it's not THEE vision. Commerce, capitalism, or commodifying any part of yourself is neverrrrr the vision. Capiche? Capiche.)

So when it comes to Neptune Rx in Aries, this is reviewing, reflecting, and recalibrating our vision with BOLD BELIEF! Sourcing it from the DEEPEST POOLS OF POSSIBILITIES! Doing it with AUDACITY, DAMMIT!!

Neptune Rx in Aries is demanding that we we recognize that Vision is IMAGINATION; that play in these times is a form of discipline. That both of these things, play and vision, are the promises we keep to ourselves and our inner children, to not lose the essence of ourselves.

This is the prescription we have, as the leaders of tomorrow: to play for the sake of it and holdfast to our imagination.

A better future is counting on us to dream it into being.

The work will come, of course it will. But we have to be willing to be vulnerable enough to imagine it first.

Thanks for reading!
