Feeling the roughness of tree bark under my fingers as I grasp for another branch was one of my favorite sensations as a kid.
And nothing ruined it faster than that plummeting feeling that would drop like a bomb in my stomach if I missed a branch or my grip slipped.
Yet that's the feeling I've woken up with the past three mornings.
WTF is going on??
I did the usual things: walked barefoot in some moss to ground myself, sat under my favorite tree with my journal, and even drew some cards for myself.
(I got all swords with The Tower--- so that didn't do much to make me feel better.)
It wasn't until I caught a view of the near-full moon rising through the woods on Sunday night that I finally realized it wasn't ME at all! It was literally the moon (tricky bish) trying to tell me some stuff.
Well, you have my attention now, dear Luna!
If you've had a pit in your stomach or have noticed fearful thoughts surfacing -- it's all par for the course.

This week we'll be integrating the after effects of the Scorpio Full Moon that peaked Monday, May 12th.
Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, symbol of death, fear, transformation, and power. We often forget, though, that Scorpio actually has TWO planetary rulers!
Yep, Pluto is actually a more modern interpretation of Scorpio since back in ancient times, the planet wasn't even discovered yet (and that discovery wasn't made until 1930!).
Traditionally, Scorpio was ruled by Mars! Aggressive, assertive, this is what-we-do-in-the-shadows type of energy. It's who you are when nobody is looking type of vibe.
So, together, a more modern interpretation might look like seeing Scorpio as a form of shadow power -- not something that is noticeable to anyone else, but if you're willing to confront your fears, there's a transformation and an exchange of power that happens.
When you look your fears in the face, you reclaim your own strength and bravery -- and that's the power exchange. That's Pluto and Mars working together for your growth.
For this full moon, I want you to write down (yes, physically write em down) 3 fears you're ready to be done with. If it's bubbling up, that means it's ready for you to work with. Trust that. Write 'em down.
And then? Release them! Burn 'em. Trash 'em. Flush 'em down the toilet. I don't care how you do it, but get rid of that paper you wrote your fears on.
The Universe will carry them away as long as you hold up your agreement to not let those fears hold you back anymore.
Of course, if you want help pinpointing what those fears could be, what house you have Scorpio in will determine where they're bubbling up from and where you're invited to reclaim power by confronting them.

🦂 SCORPIO FULL MOON BY HOUSE
Where your fears are bubbling up — and where you’re invited to reclaim your shadow power.
Look up what house Scorpio rules in your chart (Whole Sign if you're new — your rising sign is your 1st house, then count from there). That house tells you where this full moon is poking around, dragging fears to the surface, and handing you a metaphorical torch to burn through the bullshit.
♏ Scorpio in the 1st House
Fear of being seen. This full moon is asking: Who are you when you’re not performing? What are you afraid people will see if you stop curating your presence? Your shadow power lives in unapologetic self-expression. Claim it.
♏ Scorpio in the 2nd House
Fear of not being enough — or having enough. Money wounds and worthiness tangles may be surfacing. But the work isn’t about hustling harder — it’s about redefining what stability actually means to you. Your shadow power lives in radical self-worth.
♏ Scorpio in the 3rd House
Fear of saying the wrong thing (or saying too much). This moon is digging into your mental loops and communication patterns. Your power? It’s in telling the truth — even when it’s messy. Especially then.
♏ Scorpio in the 4th House
Fear of emotional vulnerability. Old family patterns, ancestral weight, or inner child grief may be coming up. The invitation is to feel it without fear — to be the one who breaks the cycle. Your shadow power is in emotional honesty and inner safety.
♏ Scorpio in the 5th House
Fear of being seen in your joy. Creativity, pleasure, and visibility might feel scary AF right now. But this moon is showing you that your joy isn’t frivolous — it’s your lifeblood. Your power lives in being wildly, radically lit up.
♏ Scorpio in the 6th House
Fear of failure, burnout, or never getting it “right.” Perfectionism is the fear here — and it’s getting in the way of sustainable rhythm. This moon wants you to examine your daily grind. Your shadow power lives in devotion, not perfection.
♏ Scorpio in the 7th House
Fear of abandonment, rejection, or loss of control in relationships. Yep, your triggers are loud this week. But they’re showing you where you give your power away in the name of connection. Your shadow power lives in sovereignty — and showing up as your whole self.
♏ Scorpio in the 8th House
Fear of losing control. Period. The full moon is lighting up your shadowy corners — secrets, shame, intimacy issues, trust. This is your home turf, though. You’re built for deep dives. Your shadow power lives in your emotional depth and your ability to alchemize pain into power.
♏ Scorpio in the 9th House
Fear of expanding beyond the familiar. This moon is pressing on your beliefs, your education, and your spiritual growth. What truths are you outgrowing? Your shadow power lives in challenging the narrative and choosing your own path.
♏ Scorpio in the 10th House
Fear of being judged, seen, or failing publicly. Are you hiding your ambitions because they feel “too much”? This full moon is asking you to stop waiting for permission and take up space. Your shadow power lives in embodied leadership — not titles.
♏ Scorpio in the 11th House
Fear of being excluded or misunderstood. Community wounds may be surfacing. You’re being invited to notice where you shrink or shapeshift to fit in. Your shadow power? It lives in your unique vision — the one no one else can bring to life but you.
♏ Scorpio in the 12th House
Fear of being forgotten, overlooked, or swallowed by the void. Existential? Absolutely. But this moon is showing you the medicine of solitude and the depth of your spiritual strength. You are not invisible. Your shadow power lives in your capacity to hold space for what others can’t.

From Ash's Corner
I fricken love astrology! I say it often and I probably won't stop. I just love that every time I'm at a loss for words or don't know how to give voice for what seems to be happening, all I gotta do is look up and I'm like "ohhhhhh, yep! That absolutely tracks."
So, here's some context for the pit-in-stomach literal wake-up calls from the moon:
I'm boob-deep in writing my website right now.
(This is relevant, I swear!)
And I mean like, I'm putting my whole ass into writing this website in a way I NEVER have before: with soul, strategy, SEO and all. I’m claiming titles I’ve long hesitated to use (peep the new signature block below 😘), writing copy that reflects my actual voice, and building a foundation for the next evolution of my work.
And of course, that’s exactly when the fear started whispering.
What if I do all this…and no one cares?
What if I step forward, heart open, and it echoes in the void?
What if I’m forever the only one who believes spirituality is this vital?
Cue: Scorpio full moon, lighting up my 12th house — the part of the chart tied to the collective unconscious, the spiritual undercurrents, and all the old fears we keep trying to outswim.
At first I thought maybe I was afraid of not being seen (hello, visibility fears anyone?) But that's not it because the 12th house is not invisible. It’s just really, really f*cking deep.
And that’s my fear.
Not that I’m unseen, but that I’m waiting in the deep end alone.
Doing this work, holding this vision, loving this world into possibility — by myself.
Here's where I don't want this message to get lost: doing this shadow work and "confronting your fears" isn't about erasing them.
It’s not about “choosing love” and hoping the discomfort goes away.
It’s about sitting with fear until you no longer flinch.
It’s about letting fear breathe — and still showing up with your whole chest.
It’s about becoming okay with the possibility that no one ever joins you…
…and still doing the thing anyway.
Because it brings you meaning.
Because it roots you in purpose.
Because it’s true for you.
That’s the power Scorpio offers when we say yes to the dark.
It’s not performative.
It’s devotional.
So yeah. I’m afraid....but I'm still here.
But you know what? So are you.
Turns out, our fears aren't always speaking the truth. (So thank you for helping me disprove mine 🫶)
