YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF PRACTICAL ASTROLOGY FOR REAL LIFE
BREW #126

I'm onto you Leos, I'm onto you.🧐

It's the last few days of your season and you're [LOUDLY] scraping out the last drops of attention like the bottom of a honey jar.

But I see what you're doing. 😏 Don't worry, your secret is safe with me.

Because I know what's coming, and more importantly, I know whyyyy you're doing it.

Virgo season starts at the end of this week. You probably knew that, even if you weren't sure of the calendar dates.

Just outside, the breeze is carrying that specific autumnal spice that nobody wants to acknowledge yet, preferring to hold fast to the last vestiges of summer.

But the tips of eager trees are already giving way to color and the goldenrod is silently popping yellow in the meadows I drive past.

There's no denying it now.

But I get it, Leo has to deny it, on principle -- instead lavishing in the glory of its season.

Bottom of the honey jar, remember?

So I'm going to tell you the secret Leos keep (Sun, Moon, Rising, Stelliums). But I can only tell you if you promise to keep it, too:

Leo is actually a tender, sensitive, deeply loving sign of devotion, play, and celebration of Life itself.

The Crown they wield in a display of regality? That's just shiny armor, worn to distract you from their secret cinnamon roll nature.

The performance spotlight they live for? Armor.

Leos might say they're doing it for the bit,
that it's all showbiz,
they they're really just acting in the interest of their sovereignty...

But you and I both know the truth: it's a cover from how deeply they feel and believe, how childlike their wonder for the world is,
how sun-soaked their optimism for what's possible + making it happen truly is.

Yet the world is often unkind and so I don't blame you for shielding your delightfully soft nature, dear Leos.

And maybe I only can really see Leo for their truer Self because I'm a Virgo and this week, this transition from Leo to Virgo, is something I've always felt so acutely.

Before I had language for what this energy meant, I was in on the secret.

So allow me to lend you some momentary x-ray vision so you can be in on it, too.

Each of the signs brings a unique wisdom that is honored and sharpened by the sign proceeding it. Aries is initiating fire, tempered by the Earthly stability of Taurus, enlivened with the winds of Gemini, and so on.

Leo takes the depth and intuitive tenderness of Cancer and brings it into the full light of day to celebrate it and understand it through our oldest and most childlike means: through play.

The vibrancy uncovered by Leo season is tempered through Virgo's depth and practicality: how do we take this warmth and light deeper, how do we make it last? How do we spread it out so it can serve more than just our individual experiences?

This is the hand-off point we're experiencing this week.

Virgo is an archetype full of discernment and practicality, stripping things of falsities and pretense.

And isn't that Leo? Full of pretense?

Well, maybe not pretense in a bad way, but pretending.

Pretending as in, tending to the fires of the imagination, shaping the lines of reality with the limelight they wield with confidence and charisma.

For as much as pop astrology loves to paint Leo as the self-inflated narcissist, their rizz isn't a form of secret malice or manipulation. It's pure joy and their particular, innocent brand of love and exuberance for Life.

Virgo takes that kernel of warmth and refines it. Strips the showbiz out of it and makes surgical cuts to expose the skeleton of truth so that spark of love and truth can continue on, rippling out across our collective experience and weaving us together.

But for this to work, for it to remain true, we have to keep Leo's secret.

No one else can know that Leo is secretly a symbol of tenderness. That it's a classified season about imagination and play and warmth.

From performance theater to operating theater: The Leo > Virgo Seasonal Transition

While Leos carry this secret tenderness, whatever house you have Leo in is where YOU carry a secret tenderness! So this next week, you personally will be transitioning from Leo, sign of imagination and play --- into Virgo, sign of discernment and depth.

The houses you have these signs in will show you more precisely where in your life you'll be feeling this transition.

ARIES RISING

Leo in your 5th → Virgo in your 6th

Your Leo theater is play, creativity, romance, pleasure, and making something simply because it delights you. Where have you been letting yourself be a little ridiculous, expressive, flirtatious, dramatic, or gloriously extra? That's the tender stuff.

As Virgo season arrives, that spotlight moves into your 6th house of daily life, work, health, and devotion. The question becomes: How do I take what lit me up and build it into a life that can actually hold it? Your operating theater is the refinement of your routines, rhythms, and responsibilities so your joy has somewhere to live.

Clock the transition: from “What makes me come alive?” → “What structures help me stay alive to it?”

TAURUS RISING

Leo in your 4th → Virgo in your 5th

Your Leo theater is home, family, belonging, and your inner sanctuary. You've been exploring what makes you feel warm, safe, rooted, and at home in yourself—even if that required some dramatic rearranging behind the scenes.

Virgo moves that tenderness into your 5th house of creativity, pleasure, play, and self-expression. Now you're being asked to refine what you make, what you love, and what you're willing to devote yourself to simply because it brings you joy. Less “Is this good enough?” and more “Is this worth tending?”

Clock the transition: from “What makes me feel at home?” → “What do I want to lovingly create from that home?”

GEMINI RISING

Leo in your 3rd → Virgo in your 4th

Your Leo theater is your voice, ideas, conversations, writing, learning, and immediate environment. You've been experimenting with how you express yourself and letting your particular perspective take up more room.

Now Virgo draws that attention into your 4th house of home, roots, family, and inner life. It's time to take the ideas that have been sparkling around you and excavate what sits underneath them. What beliefs, memories, and emotional patterns are actually running the show?

Clock the transition: from “What do I want to say?” → “What truth am I actually speaking from?”

CANCER RISING

Leo in your 2nd → Virgo in your 3rd

Your Leo theater is money, resources, values, self-worth, and the things you have decided are worth having. You've been asked to notice what makes you feel abundant—not just materially, but in the deeper sense of I have enough of myself to give.

Virgo moves into your 3rd house of communication, learning, ideas, and your everyday mental landscape. Now it's time to get discerning about the stories you're telling yourself and the information you're letting shape your reality. Your words become the operating theater.

Clock the transition: from “What do I value?” → “What thoughts and words actually support those values?”

LEO RISING

Leo in your 1st → Virgo in your 2nd

Oh, you poor things. 😂 Your Leo theater is YOU. Your body, identity, presence, appearance, personality, and sheer existence have been under the spotlight. And frankly? You were supposed to enjoy it.

Virgo season moves that spotlight into your 2nd house of values, resources, money, and self-worth. The question becomes less “Who am I becoming?” and more “What is this version of me actually worth—and what am I willing to build around her?” Time to turn self-expression into something tangible.

Clock the transition: from “Look at me becoming.” → “Okay, now what do I value enough to build?”

VIRGO RISING

Leo in your 12th → Virgo in your 1st

Your Leo theater has been the hidden realm: dreams, subconscious patterns, solitude, spirituality, endings, and the things you can't quite explain yet. There's been a secret fire burning behind the scenes, and you may not have had language for what it was preparing you for.

Now Virgo season brings you back into your 1st house of identity, body, presence, and selfhood. The backstage becomes the stage. What have you learned in the quiet that is now ready to become embodied? This is less about announcing a new Self and more about becoming precise enough to recognize her.

Clock the transition: from “What is happening underneath me?” → “How do I embody what I've discovered?”

LIBRA RISING

Leo in your 11th → Virgo in your 12th

Your Leo theater is community, friendship, collaboration, audience, and the future you're dreaming into existence. You've been exploring where you belong—and perhaps allowing yourself to be seen by the people who actually get your particular brand of weird.

Virgo moves that energy into your 12th house of solitude, spirituality, subconscious patterns, and release. It's time to step backstage. Not because you've done anything wrong, but because some of what you're building requires silence, discernment, and integration before it can become the next thing.

Clock the transition: from “Who am I becoming with others?” → “What needs to become clear when I'm alone?”

SCORPIO RISING

Leo in your 10th → Virgo in your 11th

Your Leo theater is career, visibility, reputation, leadership, and the public expression of your gifts. You've been asked to take up space professionally—and perhaps confront just how much of you is actually ready to be seen.

Virgo shifts into your 11th house of community, networks, collective vision, and the future. Now comes the refinement: Who is this work actually for? Who do I want beside me? What future am I building that is bigger than my own spotlight? Your operating theater is the ecosystem around your ambition.

Clock the transition: from “What am I here to be known for?” → “Who am I building this future with?”

SAGITTARIUS RISING

Leo in your 9th → Virgo in your 10th

Your Leo theater is meaning, belief, spirituality, travel, higher learning, and the big beautiful ideas that make life feel worth living. You've been playing with possibility—letting yourself believe in something bigger, stranger, or more expansive than the life immediately in front of you.

Virgo moves into your 10th house of career, calling, reputation, and public contribution. Now the question is: What do I actually DO with what I've learned? The vision needs a vessel. Your operating theater is turning philosophy into practice.

Clock the transition: from “What do I believe is possible?” → “How am I going to make it real?”

CAPRICORN RISING

Leo in your 8th → Virgo in your 9th

Your Leo theater is intimacy, vulnerability, shared resources, transformation, grief, sexuality, and the places where life asks you to surrender control. There's a particular tenderness in letting yourself be fully witnessed—and fully changed.

Virgo moves that energy into your 9th house of meaning, spirituality, belief, and worldview. Now you're being asked to make sense of what you've lived through. Not to slap a tidy lesson onto it, but to discern what is actually true because of it.

Clock the transition: from “What has transformed me?” → “What truth has that transformation revealed?”

AQUARIUS RISING

Leo in your 7th → Virgo in your 8th

Your Leo theater is partnership, intimacy, collaboration, and the people who mirror you back to yourself. Relationships have been showing you where you feel most alive—and perhaps where being truly seen still feels a little terrifying.

Virgo moves into your 8th house of vulnerability, merging, trust, and transformation. Now the invitation is to get more discerning about what you share, what you merge, what you owe, and what you need to keep sacred. Intimacy gets an operating manual.

Clock the transition: from “Who lights me up?” → “What am I willing to truly share with them?”

PISCES RISING

Leo in your 6th → Virgo in your 7th

Your Leo theater is work, routines, health, service, and the daily rituals that make up your actual life. You've been learning that your everyday existence doesn't have to be drudgery—it can be creative, pleasurable, and an expression of who you are.

Virgo moves into your 7th house of partnership, relationships, contracts, and one-on-one connection. Now comes the refinement of your relational ecosystem. Who gets access to you? What makes a partnership functional, reciprocal, and genuinely nourishing?

Clock the transition: from “How do I make my daily life feel alive?” → “How do I make my relationships support that aliveness?”

From Ash's Corner

Oops, I quantum jumped this summer! 💁‍♀️🤭

Cancer szn, like it does every year, dragged me down into the depths where I had so much transformation and epiphanies, I literally am still figuring out how to bring you up to speed without just word vomiting it all on you.

(My AC died, the Universe pushed me to accelerate an offer I wasn't gonna even THINK about launching until Fall, it's LAUNCHED NOW HOLY SHIT, I've already sold the first spot and am mid-delivery; I have more clarity on my own positioning and the sickening clarity of how exactly I've been keeping MYSELF small.

Ugh, barf.

And that's just the tip! 😩)

Talk about tender!! Leo season has me in full play mode!

Turns out, Leo season feels so tender because it's tender for everyone.

Like, yes, the 4th, 8th, 12th, and 1st house experiences are likely tender moments and will vary based on your rising sign.

But Leo season feels like the one secret we all keep together. Our unspoken agreement that this too is special. So special, that we can't even mention it aloud for fear it'll break its fragile spell.

Coming out the other side of my quantum jump has very much felt like that. Like a fragile spell.

Had there not been so many actual, factual, tangible, lived-through shitstorms these past 8 weeks, I'd be tempted to believe that maybe it could all evaporate.

Needless to say, I'm actually looking forward to Virgo season because of this lingering fragility. I'm eager for the grounding practicality and the peace the comes from a solid hit of somatic intuition delivering an inarguable dose of certainty to my system.

Thanks for reading!

In cosmic camaraderie,
