This week has THEE MOST POTENT Virgo energy that we'll experience all season.
Virgo is a mutable sign, and like all mutable signs, it's the caboose & liminal gatekeeper to seasonal energy.
The Mutables are The Closers of the zodiac; they're able to look at the sequence that came before them, see how it relates to the bigger picture, and evaluate what needs to change, shift, surrender, or be cut loose in order to close it out cleanly for the most sustainable path forward.
Each of The Mutables does this in their own way;
~ Sagittarius, as a fire sign, creates space for energy to move us through the holiday threshold and into the darkest corridor of the year with a spark of levity
~ Pisces, as a water sign, creates space for emotional shifts after that darkness of winter
~ Gemini, as an air sign, creates mental space for processing ideas and cognitive noise after the bluster of spring
~ and Virgo, as an earth sign, creates space for practical action and the tidying of loose ends after the momentum of summer
The Virgo archetype is about analyzing what needs doing...and then doing it with graceful efficiency, in the smallest, most actionable way possible.
And THAT is exactly the energy we have presented to us this week: in the final days of Virgo season, that flair for analysis, that critical eye is shrewdly seeking practical action.
And what a gift.
So...instead of getting bogged down in the bullshit take of Virgo perfectionism, we're gonna use these final meticulous glances to prepare for what's coming next.
Which honestly boils down to THREE things you can do THIS WEEK:
No. 1: Look ahead and consider what the next 6 months might look like and demand of you.
Energetically, this is what's on deck:
- Libra szn, which brings darkening skys and darkening times (especially as tensions rise in October here in the US as we near the midterms)
- Scorpio szn, which follows Libra with private reckonings and power plays we're called to maintain vigilance around while staying congruent with our own sovereignty
- Then onto Sagittarius szn, the spark in the dark, bringing reverie to break up the chaos
- Fading into Capricorn szn, a time of dreaming and building, where we revisit devotion + legacy and what each means and requires of us in very literal, physical terms
- To Aquarius szn, where we confront the more energetic requirements of what our grander visions demand of us. What belonging do we give up in the name of ambition and growth? (cos it always costs something)
- Where we'll then finally land in Pisces szn, our collective slow rousing after winter's slumber.
This is where Virgo szn is delivering us. THIS is the arc it's asking us to prepare to experience and journey through.
Six months from now, we'll be in Virgo's sister sign, Pisces. Which means we've got a fresh 6 month arc ahead of us that will be culminating at the Virgo Full Moon happening at the very beginning of Pisces season (end of February 2027).
Which brings me action item No. 2:
When you arrive in Feb/March 2027 and you look back over the last 6 months that passed, what will you be most proud of?
What would you be disappointed to still be experiencing (or to nothave achieved, experienced, released, grown from or with or into)?
If you can get even just 2% clearer on what you want for March 2027, and reverse engineer from that, it'll make the experience of the next 6 months feel all the more meaningful and beautiful (even when it sometimes also sucks! The duality of life, amirite?! 🤷♀️).

Virgo is the final sentry until we're released into the journey of the rest of the zodiac. She's the threshold guardian, ensuring we're prepared for the journey ahead.
She's the last known keeper of what's come before and perhaps the only one of the first 6 signs (save for maybe Cancer) that truly knows what the road ahead contains, hides, and will ultimately cost us.
Being able to look ahead like this and allow yourself to set some energetic milestones for what you want that reflection to feel like is one of the most practical action steps you can take this week.
Action item No. 3 is honestly just taking No. 2 a bit more granular and considering... ➡️ what does that mean for our next three months?
November 1st to February 1st are the darkest 10 weeks of the year.
Consider this your heads up that we can use the sunshine still available to us (physically and energetically) very practically right now to start to answer these questions for ourselves.
|
This week is truly about deeper reflection rather than prescriptive horoscopes. So with that, light your fave candle and do your best to answer the following Q's:
- What is it that you need in order to not ONLY be delivered in a state you'd be satisfied or proud to arrive in come Feb/March 2027...but to navigate this coming winter and season of darkness?
I mean this spiritually but also tangibly! What routines, habits, relationships, communities, spaces can you start establishing NOW that will nourish you once we cross that threshold come November 1st?
2. What cannot come with you into the second half of the astrological year?
Virgo is represented as the Maiden of The Harvest, holding both a sheave of wheat AND the scythe that cut it free.
That scythe is very symbolic, this week especially; it's used to not only collect the fruits of the harvest, but to also cut down that which is ready to be laid on the compost pile (or pyre for burning -- depending on how dramatic we're being 😉).
So take inventory! What's working? What's not? Where can you apply the energy you still have to set new boundaries for yourself and redirect that focus into nourishing yourself more deeply for the road ahead?

From Ash's Corner
It's my birthday week! So naturally, as a Type B Virgo myself, I'm doing the same inventory process I just walked you through.
I consider my birthday to be my personal new year so I'm giving myself permission to let myself dream bigger, get bolder with my desires, and source the fucking audacity I need for the next 6-12 months of this epic quest we call LIVIN'!
Secretly (or not so secretly now?), I love being a Virgo!
I LOVE having a September birthday because that personal new year energy is so POTENT. The liminal vibes of September slowly making way for true autumn to shine it's brilliant colors through, the urge to stock up my fav notebooks and pens during back2school shopping, and the overall practical attitude of Virgo preparing for the end of the year and beyond has me SMILING LIKE A CAREFREE LITTLE GREMLIN OVER HERE!
So anyways -- from me to you, happy final week of Virgo season, babe!
May this week serve you, may you heed Virgo's final call, may the stars be ever in your favor, and if they're not -- may you have the courage to do what you must to keep shining anyways. ✨
