I like to think I chose to be here.
I know, logically, none of us actually asked to be born. But on a spiritual level, I think my soul (and yours) knew what she was doing when she decided to come to earth.
I also believe that I could have come at any time (and maybe I have before!). But my soul chose NOW to come to Earth. My mother's body stitched mine together and I accepted the terms + conditions of being born into the bloodline of both my parents —accepting my full spiritual inheritance of their combined gifts, trauma, beliefs, and blessings in the process.
It's a bit of a private mantra for me now: when things get hard, I remind myself "I chose to be here." Both, before I was even born, but also now. It's a choice I make every day that I wake up and decide to keep going.
It's a decision that also makes me think that...more than just choosing, I think I was invited.
There's something about the density + makeup of my inner star that the cosmos said, you know what? we could really use YOU at THIS particular moment in time + space.
I'm not sure if I'd call it Fate, something fixed and inflexible, because it's not that. Our spirits are able to collaborate with the energies present to understand our individual assignments of WHY we're here.
That's not Fate. Or maybe it is. Maybe the ancients got Fate all wrong and we hold more thread to weave the fabric of reality than we've ever truly given ourselves credit for.
Regardless, I chose to be here. I was invited to be here for a reason. My spiritual duty is to find out why and then show up for that. To me, this is a charge of leadership that was put upon my very soul.
Learning to read rhythms, interpret symbolism, and translate astrology is my primary mechanism for doing that. For showing up as a leader in this unfamiliar place with a sense of purpose and a way for me to apply the gifts of my spirit to our present landscape.
I say this because, at a cellular level, I know I was made for this moment. All of the ugliness and darkness that exists right now is just confirming for me: I am alive at this point in history for a purpose. So are you.
You need to know that 👆 because the astrology for the rest of February is seismic.
I'm not a sensationalist astrologer, I don’t say these things to scare you. I say that because I know you've got The Stuff. You have what it takes to navigate what's coming (especially because you're here, in this email, translating for yourself!).
I touched on it a bit in last week's State of The Sky, but I'm not sure I did an adequate job of telling you about the 3 upcoming Big Sky Events that are going to hit us starting next week.
So here's what's coming:
- Next Tuesday, February 17th, we'll experience a New Moon Eclipse in Aquarius. This is starting a brand new 18-month chapter for us (which is what the rest of this email will be dedicated to breaking down).
- Two days later, on February 20th, we have a Saturn-Neptune Conjunction at 0 degrees of Aries. That probably sounds like jibberish but this astro event hasn't happened since 1052!!! We'll break that one down next week so you know how to be grounded and ready for it.
- THEN! We have a Full Moon Eclipse in Virgo to close out our spring eclipse season! More on that in future issues too.
All this energy builds on each other, which is why I wanted to lay it out syllabus-style.
You chose to be here. You were invited to be here. For a reason! Let's get into why...

First things first: you’re gonna wanna skip your manifestation ritual
Yeah, you heard me.
With an eclipse, any ritual or manifestation practice you might normally do for a new or full moon just doesn't apply here.
Eclipses are auspicious times. It's a supernova of energy that has the potential to rapidly birth, shift, and end entire eras and ways of thinking. Think of eclipses as explosions meant to clear the way forward; that’s not energy we’re meant to work with intimately. That’s energy you let work for you.
🧿 Eclipses are about trust. Can you trust that there’s a higher order unfolding?
🧿 Eclipses are about accountability. Are you willing to work with whatever shows up at your door, even if it’s not what you asked for?
🧿 Eclipses are about releasing control. Can you trust that whatever does show up is meant for you, in ways you would’ve never thought you needed?
That higher order I’m talking about has a name.
And it’s the reason you don’t need to “manifest” a damn thing right now.
In astrology, we track it through something called the Lunar Nodes. Once you understand what they are, eclipses stop feeling chaotic and start feeling intentional.
Not to get all space math nerd with you, but, essentially, the nodes are just the geometric point where the sun and moon line up to create an eclipse on earth. There are two nodes, the north node and the south node. Eclipses happen when the Sun and Moon align with these nodes, activating a new chapter in the story.
Astrology has many ways of doing this, with different celestial bodies representing different chapters, all at various lengths:
💀 Pluto chapters are 20-30 years. ⚡ Uranus, 11 years. ✨ Neptune, 13 years. 🪐 Saturn, 2.5 years. 👑 Jupiter, about 15 months.
➡️ And the lunar nodes shift every 18 months.
In a birth chart, the north + south nodes show us our gifts, our understanding of the past, and –critically–how to not let old stories keep us stuck in who we were. They point us toward momentum, alignment, fate (the flexible, collaborative kind 😉). They show us how to embody who we're meant to be and what role we play in the path forward.
Collectively, we've been on the Virgo/Pisces nodal axis for the past 12 months - diving into our dreams with discipline, giving them structure out of devotion, bringing Virgo detail and a heart of service to Pisces vision of depth + connection. But now, we've begun to phase that chapter out since a new one is coming into form.
Think of it like a DJ mixing studio. The nodes don't hard-stop, they overlay. One narrative track slowly phases out as another one is being laid and we can hear the elements of both mingle with each other for just a moment before the new one completely takes over.
The next song on the eclipse playlist is in Aquarius, marking a brand new 18-month chapter and portal of opportunity that I genuinely cannot overstate the importance of.

The thing is —*puffs cigar*—Aquarius is disruptive.
You have to be in order to actually bring about change and that process is never smooth. It’s bold to claim that there’s a different or better way to do anything. Especially if that new way challenges tradition. Especially if it challenges long-standing tradition. And if that tradition is also ingrained into how you do things and perceive the world? Fuhgeddaboudit!
Take for instance, Isaac Newton’s proposal of gravity: the scientific community of the time rejected his thesis. The idea that gravity as a force could affect everything, while mathematically sound, was thoroughly discredited because it challenged the way we thought reality worked. It was unsettling to consider seriously.
Or, think of Galileo, who built upon Nicholas Copernicus’ then-heretical idea that it was the SUN that was at the center of our system, not the Earth, like previously thought. His innovative (☝ and correct) ideas were so disruptive to our understanding of how things can work, he was jailed and forbidden from ever continuing.
I’m not necessarily saying that you’re going to be tortured for your ideas, but I AM saying that Aquarian ideas are deeply disruptive to the status quo and rarely receive initial applause. They’re the ones that make you question how everything works because you’ve been presented with an idea, a vision so expansive, it completely transforms what reality can look like going forward.
That is what is in store for us this eclipse season: a collective vision of how to move forward in a way that is so expansive, it disrupts our current sense of reality and possibility.
That’s what I need you to be prepared for with this eclipse. I need you to create space for that vision to land for you: in your psyche, in your body, in your daily life.
Again, you’re here for a purpose, so no matter what comes through this wormhole of an eclipse season, you’re uniquely equipped to not only handle it, but be a part of whatever movement this inspires.
Where you have Aquarius in your chart will show you what that looks like for you. This speaks to your role in navigating disruption and taking action on our shared vision of a better future together.
|
This isn’t about forcing a breakthrough, it’s about making room for one by:
🏺 Creating space for the Vision to land. 🏺 Grounding yourself enough that clarity actually has somewhere to sit. 🏺 Slowing down just enough that when disruption knocks, you recognize it as an invitation, not just meaningless chaos.
Wherever Aquarius lives in your chart is where this eclipse is activating you. This is the arena where visionary leadership wants to move through you, where you’ll be asked to think differently, to question the inherent script, and to act braver than you’re used to.
Aquarius in the 1st House (Aquarius Rising)
This eclipse is personal. You’re outgrowing a version of yourself. The disruption may feel like restlessness in your own skin — a desire to show up differently, dress differently, speak differently, lead differently.
Visionary leadership here looks like self-definition. Courage required: being seen as you evolve.
Aquarius in the 2nd House (Capricorn Rising)
You may be asked to rethink how you earn, what you value, or what security actually means. The disruption could shake outdated financial narratives or inherited scarcity scripts.
Visionary leadership here looks like building wealth in a way that aligns with your principles — not just tradition. Courage required: valuing yourself differently.
Aquarius in the 3rd House (Sagittarius Rising)
Your thinking is being rewired. Conversations may feel charged. You might feel called to say the thing you’ve been sitting on.
Visionary leadership here looks like speaking the disruptive idea out loud. Courage required: trusting your perspective.
Aquarius in the 4th House (Scorpio Rising)
Something about your inner world or domestic life is shifting. Old family patterns may feel especially loud — because they’re ready to be rewritten.
Visionary leadership here looks like breaking generational scripts. Courage required: building safety on new terms.
Aquarius in the 5th House (Libra Rising)
You’re being asked to create differently. To take a creative risk. To express yourself in a way that feels slightly dangerous (but deeply true).
Visionary leadership here looks like radical authenticity. Courage required: letting yourself be seen enjoying your life.
Aquarius in the 6th House (Virgo Rising)
Your routines are up for innovation. Burnout patterns? Inefficient structures? They’re not surviving this eclipse.
Visionary leadership here looks like designing a daily life that actually supports your future. Courage required: doing it differently than you were taught.
Aquarius in the 7th House (Leo Rising)
Relationships are evolving. You may be called to renegotiate roles, expectations, or power dynamics.
Visionary leadership here looks like building partnership rooted in equality and shared vision. Courage required: asking for reciprocity.
Aquarius in the 8th House (Cancer Rising)
This is tectonic. The kind of shift that rearranges you from the inside out.
Financial entanglements may change. Emotional contracts may dissolve. You may suddenly see the power dynamics in your life with surgical clarity — where you’ve overextended, where you’ve merged too much, where you’ve been holding control because it felt safer than surrender.
Aquarius here disrupts dependency patterns. It liberates you from psychic cords you didn’t realize were draining you.
Visionary leadership in the 8th doesn’t look loud. It looks sovereign. It looks like choosing intimacy without self-abandonment. It looks like sharing power without leaking it. Courage required: letting something die so something truer can live.
Aquarius in the 9th House (Gemini Rising)
Your worldview is expanding. Something you thought was true may no longer fit.
Visionary leadership here looks like intellectual and spiritual independence. Courage required: outgrowing your old philosophy publicly.
Aquarius in the 10th House (Taurus Rising)
This is visible. Public. Structural. You may feel called to redefine success or disrupt the ladder you’ve been climbing.
Visionary leadership here looks like leading in a way that feels ahead of its time. Courage required: being misunderstood before you’re validated.
Aquarius in the 11th House (Aries Rising)
This is Aquarius’ natural terrain — amplified. Friend groups may shift. Collaborations may evolve.
Visionary leadership here looks like initiating collective change. Courage required: stepping forward in the group instead of staying on the edge.
Aquarius in the 12th House (Pisces Rising)
This one is quiet — but do not mistake quiet for small.
The disruption may not be external at all. It may be internal awakenings, vivid dreams, sudden clarity about patterns you’ve carried for years. The kind of realizations that feel like they’ve been waiting for you to slow down long enough to hear them. You may outgrow coping mechanisms. Spiritual narratives. Even identities built around your wounds.
Visionary leadership here begins in private. It looks like liberating yourself from the subconscious scripts that kept you small. It looks like ending cycles that no one else even knew you were in. Courage required: surrendering the version of you that survived — so the version of you that leads can emerge.

From Ash's Corner
This new 18-month era in Aquarius is opening a portal of possibility — and it has everything to do with your willingness to be accountable to a bigger vision.
Are you willing to surrender to something larger than just yourself?
Are you willing to stay open to something you haven’t even imagined yet?
Aquarian energy is amplified right now. We’re in Aquarius season. Pluto is hanging out here too, reshaping power at the root. And now the North Node is shifting into Aquarius — which means this energy is bigger than just this singular Aquarius season. It’s sketching the blueprint for the next six months and initiating a much larger 18-month arc.
Here’s how it unfolds:
The Two-Week Portal (February 17 – March 3)
This is eclipse season. It begins with the New Moon Eclipse in Aquarius and culminates with the Full Moon Eclipse in Virgo. Technically, there’s a shadow period that lingers for a week or two after — think of it as energetic reverberation while the dust settles.
This is when clarity drops in. Not fully formed. Not complete. But undeniable.
The Six-Month Simmer (February – September)
Whatever insight arrives during this portal is not meant to be executed overnight. Lunar cycles exist to show us rhythm. To remove urgency. Allow yourself to have that.
The clarity you receive now is meant to be integrated slowly. Lived with. Tested. Strengthened. Embodied.
You’ll see its evolution at the corresponding Full Moon Eclipse in the fall.
The 18-Month Chapter (February 2026 – August 2027)
This is the long arc. The era itself. This is where (and how) the vision matures.
Maybe this is what we signed up for.
Not ease. Not certainty. But evolution.
This Aquarian era isn’t asking us to control what’s coming. It’s asking us to take a stand inside it.
To release the how. To hold the vision steady. To act when the moment calls.
And maybe this is what choosing to be here actually means.
Not predicting the future.
Not perfecting the plan.
But participating in the becoming of it.
We chose to be here. We were invited into this moment for a reason.
So when the future knocks, we won't to panic.
We’ll open the door.
Thanks for reading!

CURRENT ASTRO SEASON 🪐
|
UPCOMING BIG SKY EVENTS 🌛
|
|
We’re in the amniotic waters of Pisces season, to dream one last dream before the birth of Spring and forward momentum at the start of Aries season later this month. Expect inspiration, daydreams, strong intuitive sense, and nightmares. Pay attention to what symbols pop up for you right now. These are keys to your expansion and indicators for how you’ll take action once we get that Aries fire in our engines.
|
Even though the eclipse portal is now closed until we experience the Fall eclipse portal (that will actually start at the end of August), we’re in what’s called an eclipse shadow period – which just recognizes that we just experienced a shake up of energy and it’ll take a few days or weeks for us to adjust to how it feels and find our footing. Drink water, rest up, be kind to yourself.

HOW TO WORK WITH ME 🤠
|
AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK 📚
|
|
I have one spot for monthly coaching opening up next month in April. I'm looking for a leader deep in their own season of uncertainty who doesn't want to navigate it alone. You want a thought partner who takes the science and the magic equally seriously — nervous system work, neural pathway rewriting, and self-trust repair — and who meets you exactly where you are. More info here if that’s you.
