YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF PRACTICAL ASTROLOGY FOR REAL LIFE
BREW #112

Pisces new moon is happening on TODAY, fam!

This is an all hands meeting. We're making our dreams come true. We're playing mermaids and manifesting -- and I don't mean just metaphorically.

This is a whimsical, magical moon for a couple of reasons:

Number one: This is the first new moon on the other side of the eclipse portal. We had some major energy shifts β€” a lot of chaos present β€” and now we're on the other side of that. The eclipse has gotten to work for us by clearing the way, releasing stagnation + blockages.

Now, on this path that is free and clear, we're experiencing a new moon that is full of hope, whimsy, magic, joy, and depth.

That's already a lot of energy.

Number two: This new moon is the very last new moon of the astrological year.

The zodiac is ending this week! We're starting a brand new cycle with Aries season beginning on Friday and ushering in the astrological new year.

Which really just means that this is our last chance to really sit with what has evolved for us over the last year.

Pisces is reflective and immersive. They says that water has memory, which means in the depths of Pisces season, we're scuba diving down into what those memories hold for us β€” what wisdom we've gained as we've navigated this last year.

Number three: It is not a coincidence that this Pisces new moon is happening at the 11th hour of Pisces season.

Pisces is the culmination of the zodiac β€” the 12th sign, traditionally representing the 12th house: the unconscious, the depths of our psyche, our sense of self, our collective experiences.

There is grief here. There is memory here. There is abundance here.

Pisces is the manifestation of every single zodiac sign coming together β€” the collective psyche in everything we've experienced. For us to be in that energy and experiencing a sense of renewal during a new moon? That is profound wisdom we are setting intentions with as we move forward.

Make no mistake: this is one of the most potent new moons we have to work with.

So here's what that looks like...⬇️

That quantum leap energy we talked about with the eclipse has not left us. It's very much still here β€” very much a Piscean quality being extended to us through this new moon.

Pisces is a water sign, one of three in the Zodiac. In the tarot, water is a symbol of the fluid nature of life, divinity, and the subconscious realm. Water is intuition, dreams, depth, heart work and emotions.

Rhythm Logic says that Pisces is the sign represented by two fish. One fish swims to the edge of what is possible. The other swims down to the depth of understanding what is possible. Our work is holding the tension between the two: between our edge and our depths. In other words: we're being asked to tread the brackish waters of whimsy while holding the truth of what is.

Let me explain...

Pisces is one of the most delusional and fortune-blessed signs. It's traditionally ruled by Big Daddy Jupiter, king of getting-what-he-wants. Neptune, Pisces more modern ruler, presides over dreams and intuition.

Together this means that Pisces has a quirky way of making things work. Not in a Capricorn I will bend reality to my will kind of way. But in a I'm gonna be la-la and let the universe figure it out for me kind of way. πŸ’β€β™€οΈβœ¨

So when I say delusional, I don't mean just being off your rocker. I mean embodying the Pisces quality of being intentionally whimsical as an act of resistance and joy and resilience and TRUST β€” deep knowing that it is your most playful self that will keep you connected to your creativity, your gifts, and your wildest and best ideas.

Whimsy acts as a shield for those things. Playfulness protects them.

Pisces has both in spades. It is one of the most sacred things about this sign β€” their ability to play, no matter the grief, no matter everything they've witnessed from all the signs that came before. They still have this sacred sense of wonder.

So maybe we hold the tension between quantum (letting it unfold for us without worrying about following any sort of logical or linear order) and whimsy. Maybe holding space for both is the way.

Maybe the only way to navigate the grief and the enormity of everything right now is to take a page out of Pisces book and feel it deeply but alsoβ€”to stop taking everything so f*cking seriously and just have some fun.

Instead of seeing Play as something you have to earn or whimsy as an immature quality, what if it were just an avenue β€” a state of being β€” that helps you unlock everything else (even the serious things)?

This is your personalized breakdown of where this astro energy is hitting β€” and how to work with it, not get worked by it.

The question of this Pisces New Moon is this: Where do you need to accept the invitation for whimsy and play in order to make your quantum jump? How do you guard it, protect it, honor it?

Aries Rising β€” Pisces in the 12th House: This is the most hidden, interior placement of the lot β€” Pisces in your 12th house means your invitation to whimsy lives behind the curtain, in your private world. The quantum jump here is in the creative practice no one sees yet, the dream you're still holding close, the rest you keep postponing. Guard it by actually protecting your solitude. Honor it by taking it seriously even when no one else can witness it yet.

Taurus Rising β€” Pisces in the 11th House: Pisces in your 11th house puts whimsy in your community, your friendships, your vision for the future. Your quantum jump is collective β€” it happens with people, not in isolation. The invitation here is to let yourself dream out loud with others, to find your people who can hold the magic with you. Guard it by choosing your circle wisely. Honor it by letting yourself be witnessed in your wildest hopes.

Gemini Rising β€” Pisces in the 10th House: This is a career and public identity moment β€” Pisces in your 10th house is asking you to bring whimsy into how you show up in the world. Your quantum jump lives in being willing to be seen as someone who doesn't fit the conventional mold. The invitation is to let your work be weirder, more soulful, more you than feels professionally safe. Guard it against the pressure to make yourself palatable. Honor it by leading with what actually lights you up.

Cancer Rising β€” Pisces in the 9th House: Pisces in your 9th house puts whimsy in the realm of belief, adventure, and expansion. Your quantum jump is philosophical β€” you're being asked to play with what you believe is possible for you, which is a bigger ask than it sounds. The invitation is to let your worldview get a little wilder, a little more spacious. Guard it against the people who want to keep you thinking small. Honor it by following the thread of what genuinely excites you, even if it has no clear destination.

Leo Rising β€” Pisces in the 8th House: Okay Leo, this one's spicy. Pisces in your 8th house means your invitation to whimsy lives in the deep, the taboo, the transformational. We're talking intimacy, shared resources, the places where you've had to be the most serious. Your quantum jump is in learning to be playful in exactly the places you've been most guarded. That's the work. Guard it by not letting other people's heaviness become your default. Honor it by finding the places where depth and delight can actually coexist.

Virgo Rising β€” Pisces in the 7th House: Pisces in your 7th house puts whimsy directly in your relationships β€” one-on-one partnerships, close collaborations, significant others. Your quantum jump happens in connection. The invitation is to bring more play, more ease, more magic into how you show up with the people closest to you. Guard it against the tendency to make relationships into projects to optimize. Honor it by letting things be a little looser, a little more fun than feels responsible.

Libra Rising β€” Pisces in the 6th House: This is a daily life and body moment β€” Pisces in your 6th house is asking you to find whimsy in your routines, your health, your everyday rhythms. Your quantum jump is in how you treat the ordinary. The invitation is to stop waiting for the big dramatic shift and start playing with the texture of your regular days. Guard it against the grind mentality. Honor it by making at least one part of your daily routine genuinely delightful.

Scorpio Rising β€” Pisces in the 5th House: This might be the most natural placement for this new moon energy β€” Pisces in your 5th house puts whimsy exactly where it lives: creativity, pleasure, play, joy. Your quantum jump is in giving yourself full permission to enjoy things without an agenda. The invitation is to create for the sake of creating, to play without a product at the end of it. Guard it fiercely. Honor it by scheduling actual fun and then actually showing up for it.

Sagittarius Rising β€” Pisces in the 4th House: This is a 4th house moment β€” a slingshot moment. Whimsy here in the 4th house is meant to be an act of grounding. Something that gives you a solid foundation of playfulness and fun to help you with that quantum jump β€” slingshot you into the reality you most want. It's whimsy at home. Playfulness at home.

Capricorn Rising β€” Pisces in the 3rd House: Pisces in your 3rd house puts whimsy in your mind, your communication, your immediate environment. Your quantum jump is in how you think and speak β€” specifically, in letting yourself think and speak more expansively than feels practical. The invitation is to play with ideas, to let your conversations get weirder and more interesting, to write the thing you keep talking yourself out of. Guard it against your own inner pragmatist. Honor it by saying the imaginative thing out loud instead of editing it away.

Aquarius Rising β€” Pisces in the 2nd House: This is a resources and self-worth moment β€” Pisces in your 2nd house is asking you to find whimsy in how you relate to what you have and what you're worth. Your quantum jump is in loosening your grip on scarcity and letting yourself trust that there's enough. The invitation is to spend on something that genuinely brings you joy, to value what you actually value instead of what you think you should. Guard it against the voice that says fun is frivolous. Honor it by treating pleasure as a legitimate resource.

Pisces Rising β€” Pisces in the 1st House: This new moon is in your sign, on your body, in your identity β€” it doesn't get more personal than this. Your quantum jump is in being the whimsy, not just accessing it. The invitation is to let yourself be fully, unapologetically Piscean right now β€” dreamy, fluid, a little unhinged in the best way. This is your moment. Guard it against anyone who needs you to be more serious or more legible than you actually are. Honor it by showing up as exactly who you are, exactly as you are.

From Ash's Corner

Dude, it really is just having so much fun at home. And really letting home be a sanctuary. A place where I don't have to perform, where it can be unserious and fun.

The 4th house feels more sacred to me than the 8th or the 12th. My home, my sanctuary, my family life β€” it feels more worthy of my fierce protection and shielding than even my 8th house shadow work or my 12th house of witchy power plays. It feels deeper than those things.

I think part of it is that I see family as something sacred β€” and that's honored in the 4th house. My role as a mom to my 3 boys is a foundational axis that the rest of my life revolves around. Not in a way that centers me as a mom, but in a way that centers my kids: their personhood, their sovereignty, their future.

And those things are worthy of my fiercest protection, always.

So I find myself not really wanting to talk about it β€” not because it's not magical and juicy and delicious (and yesssss, WHIMSICAL). But because... I don't want to tell you. 🫒 That's for me and only me.

(Which, P.S...whatever sign you have the 4th house in is also likely an area that feels foundational and closely guarded. Same with your 8th house and 12th house. Take a look to what signs these houses fall into for you and WHEN in the year they happen and then tell me it doesn't match up. πŸ‘€ I'll wait. πŸ˜‰).

DID THE ECLIPSEs KNOCK ANYTHING LOOSE FOR YOU, TOO?

First things first: that's kinda their job. Second of all: you're not the only one!

Eclipses reveal the larger narrative arc at play in our lives and clear the way for us to keep moving ahead, most the time in ways we didn't quite expect, with plot twists and surprising revelations. If you're sitting in the aftermath of this eclipse, not sure what to make of it, or find yourself more confused than ever and craving a deeper sense of direction -- I can help with that.

In one 60-minute session, we'll use a mix of tarot, astrology, nervous system support, and modern coaching to help you understand the bigger picture and where you fit into it.

CURRENT ASTRO SEASON πŸͺ

UPCOMING BIG SKY EVENTS πŸŒ›

We’re in the amniotic waters of Pisces season, to dream one last dream before the birth of Spring and forward momentum at the start of Aries season later this month. Expect inspiration, daydreams, strong intuitive sense, and nightmares. Pay attention to what symbols pop up for you right now. These are keys to your expansion and indicators for how you’ll take action once we get that Aries fire in our engines.

Even though the eclipse portal is now closed until we experience the Fall eclipse portal (that will actually start at the end of August), we’re in what’s called an eclipse shadow period β€“ which just recognizes that we just experienced a shake up of energy and it’ll take a few days or weeks for us to adjust to how it feels and find our footing. Drink water, rest up, be kind to yourself.

HOW TO WORK WITH ME 🀠

AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK πŸ“š

I have one spot for monthly coaching opening up next month in April. I'm looking for a leader deep in their own season of uncertainty who doesn't want to navigate it alone. You want a thought partner who takes the science and the magic equally seriously β€” nervous system work, neural pathway rewriting, and self-trust repair β€” and who meets you exactly where you are. More info here if that’s you.

The work of the mature person is to carry grief in one hand and gratitude in the other and to be stretched large by them.
