I'm having a faith crisis.
Well, "crisis" feels more existential and urgent than where I'm at right now.
I feel…curious. Intrigued, even. Open-hearted to the idea of re-evaluating what it is I believe and the spiritual path I walk.
Spiritual awakening, then? Nah, already had one of those in 2020.
A deepening, then? Sure, we’ll go with that for now.
Interesting timing, Universe, what with the global uprising and collective solidarity happening in the face of authoritarianism and all…
(🤔 Is it *The Universe* that orchestrates these things? Was it ME?!? God?? One singular-yet-infinite-source-of-light-and-consciousness?? I don’t have answers right now, just more questions.)
Maybe it was predestined (I meannnnnn, to an extent it was, cosmic cycles and all that). And also…I think this is a natural reaction to the times and reflects my own empathy and humanity.
Which is kiiiiinda the whole point of spirituality anyways.
Back to my crisis of faith, though. Or spiritual deepening (or whatever).
I’ve noticed my intuition is stronger, my nervous system more steady, and my inner voice A LOT louder.
And actually, this is what nobody talks about…THE (INNER) VOICE(S)!!!
I mean this in a totally sane way…
When you open yourself to your spiritual path whether it be for connection, or because you want to find your gifts, or to get in contact with your deeper, truer self— what it requires is the same.
Which, is a willingness to listen to your inner voice.
And to not censor yourself!
To say what you need to say!
To say what you mean.
And to say it, honestly, even if it stings.
And I think that such an endeavor is all philosophical and wise and good, of course.
But, the messy part of that is: you don't have just one voice in there.
Yes, there’s the one that’s deep and true and resonant. But it’s a skill to be able to discern that voice from all the others. It’s a learnable skill, sure.
Because the truth is that we are constantly wading through all the other voices that pop up when we ask for guidance.
😨 The voice of anxiety.
😔 The voice of self-doubt.
🤔 The voice of inner skepticism.
😒 The voice of judgment.
🫠 The weight of other people’s perceptions (and the voices that sprout inside us from that pressure point).
It’s a whole peanut gallery of noise.
Of course, there are good voices in there too, such as:
The voice of your truest creativity.
The voice of inspiration.
The whisper of good ideas.
The calling of your higher path, your deeper path.
Your spirit guides.
Your ancestors.
Your inner compass.
Not all of these voices speak in words.
Sometimes, the voice is a pull.
A lot of times there are words, but not always. And I want to leave space for that magic—that it’s not always words. But it’s still a calling. And it’s still palpable, like a voice. You can ~feel~ that it’s there.
And that’s the truth of it: you can’t get to know just one of those voices without opening yourself up to all of them.
And that is our work. And it’s why this work takes courage.
Because you’re not just seeking to connect with your truer self—you’re also seeking to build the skill to discern all those other, more tender, more hurt, more shadowy parts of yourself. The ones that have morphed and mutated in order to protect that truer voice.
And I think this is the part that irritates me about spirituality. At least, the love-and-light, shrink-wrapped, Instagram versions of it.
The ones that say: “Destroy the ego.”
“Rise above [whatever human thing you’re going through].”
“Get rid of your inner critic.”
And I’m like... okay, let’s look at that language for a second: get rid of. Like we’re what—extracting a tumor?
No. Nope. We are not trying to suffocate or amputate parts of ourselves. Even the parts you think are hurting you? They’re still you. They’re still part of your inner family.
And I hate to be the one to break it to you—but if no one else will, I will: those parts? They don’t just go away.
You don’t beat anxiety. You don’t overcome who you are. You just are that person.
The best gift you can give yourself is the permission to be who you are.
But that means your whole self. The whole body. The whole mess. The whole wisdom. The whole human.
And that’s exactly what’s on the altar under this Full Moon.
Because when Sagittarius energy is present—especially in full moon form—we’re not asked to escape the mess of being human. We’re asked to make meaning of it.

The Sagittarius Full Moon is not a chill one.
This is a fire moon in a fire sign ruled by a planet that demands we grow, stretch, and revise what we believe is true. It’s not just a gentle “release what no longer serves you” kind of vibe—it’s more like: burn it down if it was built on bullshit.
And here’s where it gets even spicier: this fire moon is arriving during Gemini season—aka, mutable air. That’s two mutables in dialogue.
Mutable signs are the cleaners. The changers. The ones who show up after the action and make sure nothing stagnant survives the sweep.
So when fire meets air in this way?
We’re not just editing old beliefs…we’re fanning the flames of full-blown transformation.
For me, it’s hitting right at home—literally. I’m a Sagittarius Rising, and this lunation lights up my 1st house. It’s got me asking, Who am I when I strip away what I’ve outgrown? What beliefs do I want to carry forward—and which ones were survival strategies I can now compost?
And while Sagittarius is often described as “truth-seeking,” I think what it really reveals is how many competing truths we carry at once—and how important it is to build the skill of discernment.
This Full Moon isn’t just about “believing bigger.” It’s about asking why we believe what we believe—and learning how to listen past the peanut gallery of doubt, anxiety, projection, and inner skeptics…to find what is actually sacred.
So here’s your invitation:
Instead of asking “What’s true?” try asking: “Which voice do I want to follow forward?”

Wherever Sagittarius falls in your chart is where you're being called to clean house. These are the beliefs, narratives, and inherited ideas that are ripe for review—and possibly ready to be torched.
This isn’t a gentle tidy-up. It’s a full-on energetic sweep. You're clearing out what no longer fits, tuning in to the actual voice of your truth, and leaving behind the noise of the peanut gallery in your head.
So… 📍Find your Rising sign below to see what area of life is being lit up—and where you're invited to burn the bullshit and tend to the spark of what actually makes you feel vibrant and alive.
♐ Sagittarius Rising (Sagittarius in the 1st House): Your identity, self-image, and sense of self. This is a total you audit. What stories about yourself no longer hold up under spiritual scrutiny? Which ones do you want to carry forward into your next becoming?
♑ Capricorn Rising (Sagittarius in the 12th House): Your subconscious, solitude, and spiritual healing. Time to pull out the broom and sweep the dusty corners of your inner world. Which beliefs are keeping you isolated? Which voices are sacred…and which are just fear in disguise?
♒ Aquarius Rising (Sagittarius in the 11th House): Your friendships, communities, and visions for the future. Ask yourself: Whose voices am I carrying? It’s time to discern between authentic belonging and social conditioning. Let the future visions that actually excite you be the ones you follow.
♓ Pisces Rising (Sagittarius in the 10th House): Your career, public image, and long-term goals. You're re-writing the story of what “success” means to you. Burn down the scripts you inherited. What version of ambition feels aligned to your spirit now?
♈ Aries Rising (Sagittarius in the 9th House): Your beliefs, spiritual frameworks, and philosophies. This is the house of Sag, so this Moon hits home. You’re re-examining what you believe, why you believe it, and what you’re ready to leave behind. Study. Travel. Spirit. It’s all on the table.
♉ Taurus Rising (Sagittarius in the 8th House): Your intimacy, shared resources, and the shadow. Time to sort through the hidden beliefs that run beneath your surface—especially about power, vulnerability, and worth. What needs to die so something richer can be born?
♊ Gemini Rising (Sagittarius in the 7th House): Your relationships, mirrors, and commitments. This is about whose voices you’re hearing in your head—and why. You’re shedding old dynamics and people-pleasing patterns. Let the real you be the one who shows up in connection.
♋ Cancer Rising (Sagittarius in the 6th House): Your health, habits, and daily grind. What rhythms and routines no longer serve the version of you you're becoming? Burnout isn’t a badge of honor—burn it down. Build a life that actually sustains your energy.
♌ Leo Rising (Sagittarius in the 5th House): Your joy, self-expression, and creative fire. You’re being called to reclaim what lights you up. Ditch the pressure to be impressive and follow what feels fun. Let your creative voice get loud again.
♍ Virgo Rising (Sagittarius in the 4th House): Your home, roots, and emotional foundation. Old beliefs about “home,” safety, or what family is supposed to be? Time to clear the cobwebs. Make space for the kind of inner (and outer) security that you actually crave.
♎ Libra Rising (Sagittarius in the 3rd House): Your voice, communication style, and mental frameworks. Which thoughts are yours, and which were planted by someone else? Time to deprogram and rewire. You don’t have to keep narrating your life with an old script.
♏ Scorpio Rising (Sagittarius in the 2nd House): Your money, values, and self-worth. Your relationship to value—both your own and what you spend your energy on—is in the spotlight. Burn down the scarcity stories. What if you trusted that what you desire is meant for you?

Ash's Unshakable Summer
Last week, I booked a tarot reading with someone I deeply respect (hi, it’s Neghar, if you must know 😘)—not because I couldn’t read for myself, but because part of becoming unshakeable means knowing when to let yourself be held.
That’s a key part of my spiritual practice right now: letting other people witness me, pour into me, reflect truths I might not be able to see on my own. Especially as someone who holds space for others all the time—professionally, in friendships, and in motherhood—this kind of tending is critical. It’s spiritual hygiene. It’s nervous system maintenance. It’s what keeps me clear.
And I’ll be honest: it shook me in the best way.
It brought me back to something I read recently (hello, part of this faith crisis, I’ve been reading a lot): the word Anthropocene.
It’s Greek. Shows up in a lot of holy texts.
It means: fully human and fully divine.
It’s both.
Because to live as only one or the other is a kind of spiritual divorce. A denial of experience. You’re not just divine. You’re not just human. You’re both.
📍 You are here. In a body. With neurons firing and synapses sparking. Animated meat. Living breath. Consciousness made form. That whole design is divine.
But the experience is deeply human.
And the idea that you’re supposed to transcend that, to rise above it? That’s spiritual bypassing (which is weird, don’t do that).
💫 And no, we can’t just be human either. That’s only half the truth. There are too many sacred patterns. Too much awe. Too much intelligence in the design of it all.
You zoom out far enough, and the puzzle just keeps getting bigger.
You’re telling me this (*waves around vaguely*) was all an accident?
No way. I don’t buy it. This is divinity.
So yeah—we’re not just human. We’re not just divine.
We are fully both.
And that’s the work in front of us: to accept that. To integrate that. To be that.
To listen for the deeper, wiser voice—that essence, that soul—and also care for the messy, reactive, skeptical human self.
That’s the whole point.
To live as only one or the other is a kind of spiritual divorce. And I think that’s what’s been stirring underneath this so-called faith crisis of mine—not a collapse, but a reintegration. A remembering. A spiritual reckoning with both my messy, skeptical, animated-meat suit of a self and the vast, sacred intelligence that pulses through all things.
This is the work of my Unshakable Summer.
Not becoming hardened or stoic.
But becoming anchored in the truth of who I am, both divine and human. And learning how to meet that truth with reverence, curiosity, and courage.
Stay tuned.

🕯 P.S. Feeling a little shaken up yourself? That’s literally what my Practical Woo Playdates are for. We meet the mess, name what’s really going on underneath it all, and co-create a soulful way forward. My books are open for June—let’s find your footing.

THE VOICE OF YOUR INNER GENIUS
I alluded to it in the intro but I mean it in a very real way—this is a real voice (or pull, depending on how you experience it) and your birth chart actually has a lot to say about HOW to connect with it, what your zone of genius even is, and the conditions of serving from this place of inspiration (sustainably). That's why this is one of the flavors of readings I offer and this one is called Meet Your Muse. If you're ready to meet YOURS—my books are open for June/July readings.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understand. — Plato
