YOUR WEEKLY DOSE OF PRACTICAL ASTROLOGY FOR REAL LIFE BREW #105

Me in 2025: 🗣️ f*#k your new year's resolutions! it's winter! it's time for resting! not seed planting or action taking!
Capricorn showing up for me in 2026: 🧐🤨🙎♀️
Me in 2026: 🙏 forgive me, Capricorn, i didn't understand your game🙇♀️
Because here's where I've gotten wiser since last Capricorn season: while most see Capricorn as this shrewd, ambitious cutthroat—I see the truth.
Capricorn is a lowkey dreamer.
The difference between Capricorn and other dreamer signs like Sagittarius (always falls in love with potential, even when it's at odds with likelihoods) or Aquarius (the true visionary but she doesn't care about the timeline, it could take 50 years and they'd still do it) or Pisces (idealistic to a fault, details be damned)—is they ARE realistic.
They'll dream, sure. But then they'll put that dream into a dynamic spreadsheet, reverse engineer their KPIs and make that shit happen.
Capricorn is ambitious but not without backup.
And it's no mistake we experience Capricorn season in the dead of winter.
So like, yeah, take your naps. Drink your soups. Hibernate and honor your mammal instincts the best you can right now.
But dream on little mountain mover. Capricorn rests but never sleeps on his ideas.
The dreaming is strategic. Rest is productive when it's recharging your system and creating space for future action.
Write down what's coming up for you right now. You don't have to figure out the how YET. But you do need to be open to the What.
WHAT do you want? WHAT is worth your time, your effort, your discipline, and your follow through?
Capricorn is shrewd for a purpose.
What is it that you're following through on right now? Even in slumber, what calls to you?
What is carrying you through this season of darkness? Because that is fertile ground worth building on. That is something worth giving back to. THAT is worth your logistical devotion. That is worth the application of your finite energy, gifts, and resources.
Understanding how we each individually experience Capricorn season can help us answer each of these questions.

We know that each of the Zodiacs are ruled by a main planet, right? (You shouuuuuld. No hate if you don't butttttt you should probably grab this quick reference guide — it has it in there for the other zodiacs, too).
Capricorn is ruled by none other than Grand Daddy Saturn, the cosmic time lord and god of discipline, devotion, leadership, and legacy. 🪐
(quick aside: when I say "god" I mean a master symbol of the unconscious mind; an archetypal domain we can wrap our brain around in order to make sense of the world, the expanse of the cosmos, and the chaos of everyday life.
Not like, god as in the church or as a religious symbol.
K, thanks for your attention to this matter, back to astrology...)
Saturn asks for our accountability. For our responsibility.
- What is your ability to respond to the circumstances life has given you?
- Are you willing to rise to the level of leadership required to be accountable to your goals?
Because Saturn rewards such labor handsomely and ten fold.
We can learn so much about Saturn's rewards by dedicating ourselves to the work of Capricorn based on what house Capricorn falls in for us.

This is your personalized breakdown of where this astro energy is hitting — and how to work with it, not get worked by it.
The house you have Capricorn in shows you what will support your follow-through on the dreams that are surfacing right now, the visions that won't leave you alone.
- (capricorn rising) cap in the 1st house, This season is about you — not in a performative, “new identity drop” way, but in a foundational, bones-deep way. Capricorn in the 1st house asks you to tend to your self-concept, your physical body, and your relationship with responsibility as if they are sacred infrastructure. How you speak to yourself matters. How you care for your body matters. How much pressure you’re putting on yourself matters. This isn’t about becoming someone new — it’s about becoming more solid in who you already are. Rest here is not laziness; it’s maintenance. Boundaries are not selfish; they’re structural supports. Capricorn in the 1st says: if you are the vessel through which your dreams move, then you are the first system that needs to be resourced.
- (sag rising) Cap 2nd house, What is giving you value? Your values. Your finances. Take care of your financial foundations so your dreams have something solid to grow upon. There aren’t many plants that thrive in sand. Align your visions with your values and you’ll be fucking unstoppable.
- (scorp rising) cap 3rd house, No more doom scrolling. Take special care of the information you’re taking in — what you put in should nourish you, deepen your thoughts, and enrich your own ideas…not drown them out. Take heed. Create space. Lay some better digital boundaries. Buy a brick. How you think about things — your unique perspective — is what people crave, and it’s going to support your dreams. Treat it right.
- (libra rising) cap 4th house, your family or home sanctuary is the reason or foundation behind your biggest dreams. make your home feel like a security blanket, keep out the negativity, uninvite energy vampires, and pour into the bonds that pour into you. This is what keeps you moving in the direction of your wildest visions. Let your space and people inspire you to keep going.
- (virgo rising) cap 5th house, pull your notebooks out, get your favorite pens and paintbrushes out and CREATE goddammit. Earthy, tangible Capricorn in the 5th house of passion projects and creativity wants to MAKE things, TANGIBLE THINGS. Even if your visions are ultimately intangible (creating communities! building a digital presence! curating your thought leadership) it's ultimately supported by your sense of expression -- and your expression demands tangible existence. Give it one.
- (leo rising) cap 6th house, time to revisit your routines, wellness, and daily rituals. Are they serving where you ultimately want to go…or not so much? What daily practices help you show up as vibrantly as your dreams require? What kind of wellness routines does this next version of you demand for nourishment, maintenance, and sustaining your overall aura of playful monarch?
- (cancer rising) cap 7th house, who has been speaking life to you? who pours into you consistently? who are the homies who've got your back, who hype you up and can vision right alongside you? This is about your closest community, your inner circle of lovers, co-conspirators, and secret visionaries. Pour into those relationships, log some time together, and let your people NOURISH YOU! It is relationships that fuel you for the road ahead and give you REASON to keep going when the road gets cold + dark. Consider this your fuel stop.
- (gemini rising) cap in the 8th house, Capricorn in the 8th is asking you to get serious about the invisible stuff that actually runs the show: trust, intimacy, shared resources, energetic entanglements, emotional debt. This isn’t about white-knuckling your way through transformation — it’s about committing to it. What are you still carrying that isn’t yours? What agreements — spoken or unspoken — need renegotiation? This season supports deep, deliberate clearing: financial clean-ups, emotional boundary resets, therapy that actually sticks, conversations that feel scary but necessary. our dreams need clean soil, not haunted basements. Do the structural work beneath the surface and future you will be absurdly grateful.
- (taurus rising) cap in the 9th house, time to read some books. Physical ones you hold in your hand. Make some flashcards, print a workbook, get a new journal, renew your passport. Do something to tangibly represent the commitment you're making this year to your own expansion. And then keep doing it.
- (aries rising) cap in the 10th house, your dreams aren't these private affairs to simply daydream about or escape to. Your dreams carry a weight of realization to them. You are building something lasting and Capricorn season is the time to pause, enjoy the stillness, and take stock of how far you've come. Look at the fruits of your labor, bask in it...then don't stop (after a well-deserved and needed rest, of course 😉).
- (pisces rising), cap in the 11th house, plan a craft night, start attending a local yoga studio, or sign up for that class you've been thinking about. Tangible, earth-sign Capricorn in the 11th house of community, teamwork, and shared goals is all about physically showing up in community spaces and being a part of the collective. Your physical presence is not just a gift, it's fuel for you. I bet you'll find your next collaborator at a completely unrelated community event because that's just how this works for you.
- (aquarius rising) cap in the 12th house, This is Capricorn at its most monk-mode. The 12th house is rest, retreat, subconscious processing, spiritual composting — and Capricorn here wants you to take that seriously. Not “collapse from burnout” rest. Intentional, devoted withdrawal. Sleep. Solitude. Ritual. Containment. This is about building inner authority, not outer proof. What practices keep you sane, sovereign, and spiritually resourced when no one is watching? Capricorn in the 12th says your dreams are incubating in the dark — protect them. You don’t need to explain yourself, produce anything, or be visible right now. Tend your inner infrastructure with the same devotion you give your responsibilities. When you emerge, you’ll do so with clarity, stamina, and a terrifying level of self-trust.

From Ash's Corner
Winter is underway, it's dark at damn near 4pm and I'm thriving under a mountain of blankets and twinkle lights. I'm using this season to recharge for sure (especially after all the peopling I did during the holidays 😩).
I've been reading by dim lamplight, enjoying many a soup for breakfast, and constantly trying to see how many cups of hot tea I can squeeze into a day (I'm capped out at 6 so far).
So, while YES, I am resting...in the spirit of Capricorn, I'm also scheming, bwahahahah! 😈
I saw this tweet post recently and it just made me breathe a sigh of relief:
Because yeah. This is me.
I have big goals for this year (I talked about them here), but I’m not willing to sacrifice my mental health, physical wellness, or my relationships to get there. I’m deeply uninterested in grinding myself into oblivion just to prove a point.
I get there when I get there, ya know? I’ve arrived at a place where I’m genuinely comfortable moving at my own pace — even if it looks different than what’s celebrated by the status quo. Even if it means I’m misunderstood.
I’ll get where I’m going. I’m just choosing to arrive with my sanity intact, my body resourced, and my finances in check 💅 Ya feel me?
Oh — and I have Capricorn in the 2nd house. My top values are Spirituality, Bravery, and Fairness, and instead of holding those close to my chest or feeling like I need to apologize for them (why??? because they’re different than the average Jane??? isn’t that the point of values??? values are the compass for YOU, YOUR soul, and YOUR life path), I’m owning them. Out loud.
First, because I’m tired of pretending. Second, because I know I’ve got hella aura and I’m done playing coy about it (visibility wounds + witch wounds — topics for another day).
Happy dreaming season, babe 🫶
Thanks for reading!
In cosmic camaraderie,

CURRENT ASTRO SEASON 🪐
|
UPCOMING BIG SKY EVENTS 🌛
|
|
We’re in the amniotic waters of Pisces season, to dream one last dream before the birth of Spring and forward momentum at the start of Aries season later this month. Expect inspiration, daydreams, strong intuitive sense, and nightmares. Pay attention to what symbols pop up for you right now. These are keys to your expansion and indicators for how you’ll take action once we get that Aries fire in our engines.
|
Even though the eclipse portal is now closed until we experience the Fall eclipse portal (that will actually start at the end of August), we’re in what’s called an eclipse shadow period – which just recognizes that we just experienced a shake up of energy and it’ll take a few days or weeks for us to adjust to how it feels and find our footing. Drink water, rest up, be kind to yourself.

HOW TO WORK WITH ME 🤠
|
AFFIRMATION OF THE WEEK 📚
|
|
I have one spot for monthly coaching opening up next month in April. I'm looking for a leader deep in their own season of uncertainty who doesn't want to navigate it alone. You want a thought partner who takes the science and the magic equally seriously — nervous system work, neural pathway rewriting, and self-trust repair — and who meets you exactly where you are. More info here if that’s you.
