Skrrrrtt'ing into your inbox in the final moments of Sagittarius seasons because
A.) the idea of waiting 'til the new year, or even the next season, to pop back up and tell you I'm alive was too much to ask. I got things to blab about.
B.) there's a BIG DEAL NEW MOON on Friday (exhibit A: things I have to blab about)
I'm sure there was a Reason C in there but I'm excited so let's get into it...

Each of the fire signs provide necessary light and warmth for the seasons that follow and Sagittarius is no different. It's the last flickering torch lighting our way as we descend fully into the darkest part of the year. I don't think it's coincidence that the season leading up to the somber celebrations of year's end is one of 🔥 fire-breathing whimsy. 🔥
Because here's what we get wrong about Sagittarius:
We tend to think it's all travel and teaching and chasing horizons! And that's kinda true. But it's not the full, honest picture.
Sagittarius is a self expansion. It's developing yourself as a mind and a soul into something more whole, something that's both more human and more divine.
It's self-expansion that asks us to stretch what it is we actually believe, how we take up space, and how we maintain passion for these pursuits throughout life.
And as weird as it might sound, Sagittarius is about not taking the entirety of that journey too seriously.
They are the unserious philosophers of the Zodiac. The students of life that walk with both a level of swagger and silliness so high, they become the teacher.
Therefore, Sagittarius shows us where we can afford to take ourselves less seriously.
Squished between a sign of intensity (Scorpio) and strategic ambition (Capricorn), Sagittarius reminds us that life is worth living when you're having fun. Quit white-knuckling and allow yourself to be surprised by what drops into your open palms when you're brave (and unattached to the outcome) enough to just see what can happen.
The house you have Sagittarius in will show you exactly what personal expansion looks like for you by showing you where you can loosen up to invite the flow of unexpected blessings and the whimsy-that-makes-life-worthwhile.

This is your personalized breakdown of where this astro energy is hitting — and how to work with it, not get worked by it.
Sagittarius asks:Where can you lighten the load and let life surprise you? Look to the house Sagittarius occupies in your chart 👇
Sagittarius Rising — 1st House — Identity & Self Loosen your grip on who you think you’re supposed to be. This season wants you experimenting with self-expression, style, opinions, and presence. You don’t need to arrive—you just need to show up curious.
Scorpio Rising — 2nd House — Worth, Money & Resources Stop white-knuckling security. Sagittarius here asks you to stretch your sense of worth beyond spreadsheets and self-justification. What happens when you trust that you’re supported while you grow?
Libra Rising — 3rd House — Voice, Thinking & Communication Take yourself less seriously in how you think and speak. This is about playful learning, curious conversations, and letting your ideas roam without needing to be right. Let yourself ramble—you might say something brilliant by accident.
Virgo Rising — 4th House — Home, Roots & Emotional Safety Expansion comes from softening at home. Sagittarius here invites humor, honesty, and emotional breathing room in your private life. You don’t have to carry the weight of your lineage alone—lighten it.
Leo Rising — 5th House — Creativity, Pleasure & Play This is Sagittarius at its most obvious: fun is the medicine. Create for joy, flirt with life, make art that doesn’t need to mean anything. Expansion happens when you remember you’re allowed to enjoy being alive.
Cancer Rising — 6th House — Work, Health & Daily Rhythms Growth comes from changing how seriously you take productivity. Sagittarius here wants you zooming out—rethinking routines, work expectations, and wellness rules that have gotten too rigid. Sustainable beats impressive.
Gemini Rising — 7th House — Relationships & Mirrors Loosen your grip on control and expectations. Sagittarius here asks for honesty, humor, and spaciousness in relationships. Let people surprise you—and let yourself be surprising, too.
Taurus Rising — 8th House — Depth, Intimacy & Transformation This is where Sagittarius says: even the deep stuff doesn’t have to be so grim. Expansion comes through truth-telling, emotional bravery, and finding meaning without drowning in intensity. Light doesn’t cancel depth—it illuminates it.
Aries Rising — 9th House — Beliefs, Meaning & Faith Home turf for Sagittarius. This season stretches your worldview and asks you to examine what you actually believe—not what you inherited or perform. Let curiosity replace certainty. Faith grows when it can breathe.
Pisces Rising — 10th House — Visibility, Purpose & Public Life Take your ambition less seriously—and your calling more playfully. Sagittarius here expands your definition of success. What if your work was allowed to evolve, experiment, and feel alive again?
Aquarius Rising — 11th House — Community, Dreams & the Future Growth happens through shared vision and collective joy. Sagittarius here reminds you that hope is a group project. Dream bigger with others. Let yourself believe in what’s possible again.
Capricorn Rising — 12th House — Rest, Spirit & the Unseen Expansion comes from surrender. Sagittarius in this house invites faith without proof, humor in uncertainty, and trust in the mystery. You don’t need answers right now—just openness.

From Ash's Corner
I am in a process of becoming --- across all aspects of life right now. ALL OF THEM. That is not hyperbole. As a mom, as a wife, as a woman, as a creative, as a writer, as a community member, as a space holder, as a practitioner.
All of it, dude.
As with any process of becoming and transformation, it's been scary AF and impossible to plan, and even harder to talk about. How do you talk about the terrain when it keeps shifting under your feet?
One of the things I can reach for is patterns. I can always tap into the logic of the rhythms around me to get my bearings, even amid seasons of immense change like the one I've found myself in for most of 2025.
Outside of the rhythms of each zodiac season, the rhythm logic of the moon has always held a groundedness to it that I've been reaching for (and looking up in the sky for) no matter what is going on.
As it happens, tomorrow is our final lunar event of 2025 --- a new moon in Sagittarius.
New moons are times to plant seeds of intention, to dream deeply, and to cast a vision of what you most want for yourself.
This sounds fine and dandy on paper but in reality, I find this prospect paralyzing.
Because what do you mean I gotta come up with the perfect intentions for myself??? HOW????
But we have the how, remember? Rhythms.
So it's not that you're starting from scratch with these things, you just have to reflect on the rhythm.
6 months ago, back in June -- we had the Full Moon in Sagittarius. Which means, 6 months ago, we were celebrating the fruits of Sagittarius, realizing what was working and what no longer served us.
It might be a stretch, but think back:
- what shifted for you in early June?
- What did you want to carry forward with you from that season?
- What did you learn since then?
- How has that vision, energy, or passion evolved for you?
Because whatever that is, THAT is what you plan your new moon intentions around tomorrow.
For me (hilariously), since Sag is in my 1st house, this is has been a BIG YEAR of allowing myself to be, well, myself. Out loud, in public (or more accurately, on the internet). It's been coming to terms with the fact that I am not just one set person, I am a thousand different versions of myself walking around in one skin.
I do not have to decide which version of me is best to polish and set out on an altar of visibility. I'm allowed, nay -- invited! -- to just show up however I am and whoever am in that particular moment. That is how I both honor who I am and offer my most transformative gifts to my community and the world.
See what I mean by rhythm logic being a grounding force during times of uncertainty?
If this year has been equally destabilizing to your sense of self --- I'm right there with you, fam. I encourage you to take action on your House-by-House breakdown for tomorrow's new moon!
May we all make this next season and next year more whimsical and unserious. 🙃♐
